Another several weeks old story I should’ve mentioned on here at some point. Over at the Comics Journal site I was interviewed by Mike Dawson for his TCJ Talkies podcast. The conversation took a lot of weird but enjoyable turns. We ended up talking a lot about the Trans-Series and the social & philosophical issues that crop up again and again in my comics. Check it out.
A few days ago I talked on the phone with Rina Ayuyang and Thien Pham. We talked about my new comic Trans-Utopia, Uncivilized Books, and many other comics related topics. It was pretty fun. The conversation was recorded. It’s now available here.
I can’t make it to MoCCA
I can’t make it to MoCCA this year, but at least I can re-experience last year’s festival through the transcript of a conversation between me and Kent Worcester. I was going to put up the audio of that some time ago, but the quality was pretty low. Anyway, for those that missed it check it out here. The conversation is edited, so my ramblings aren’t as incoherent. It’s like being there, but better.
Kent also wrote another piece on my work on TCJ a few weeks earlier.
Daily Cross Hatch Interview
I meant to post this sooner but the Yokoyama essay has been quite a distraction. Anyway, since the Daily Cross Hatch has deemed me a subject worthy of an interview, I suppose I should at least link to it: here’s Part 1 and Part 2. The interview was ably conducted by the intrepid Sarah Morean. Ok, this piece of shameless self-promotion done with, the blog can return to it’s semi-regular service…
