   Sorry to ask a dull technical question, but… that line characteristic isn’t from dry brush, but from your paper’s tooth, right?

      That’s correct. This was drawn and inked on watercolor paper.

   Thanks for the quick response. (I’m very much a beginner, and am trying to piece together which tools work well with what papers.)
